Hi,
I want to know about residential life at howard plaza towers-east. Can someone give me more info about the room size, cleanliness and the environment?

Im sure all of the information is on the website as far as structure and room size, but I can give you information the site wouldn’t give you.

I don’t actually live in the towers, but as far as the environment, the towers are on one of the most secluded/busy streets ever if that makes sense. They sit on Georgia Ave which is always busy, but also on Barry Place which isn’t all that robust. It is on the “other” side of Howard (if you don’t attend Howard yet you’ll understand when you get here) so I would recommend to stay on double-alert at certain times of the night.

For the most part the towers look clean and well-kept. The towers are for the honor students and the upperclassmen so as far as the atmosphere I can say that the students that live in there are mostly on the mature end and are pretty much ready for an apartment, and they treat it like it’s one. (They are still college students though)

There’s a McDonalds right next to the towers and a Subway, Froyo, Negril, and a Potbelly across the street; there’s also chinese resturants across the street (as well as everywhere else on Georgia Ave lol) so you don’t really have to worry about food. Speaking of food…rats in DC are kind of an issue, so I would watch out for that as well.

Thats pretty much all the knowledge I have on them…and also, they’re co-ed dorms, so…yeah lol
