Why are the scholarships (Founders, Presidential, etc) found on fast web and other sources of finding scholarships but not on the official site of the college itself? Are those scholarships out of date?
Up until very recently they were listed on Howard’s website. My guess is they are probably redefining the parameters (scores and GPA needed) so they aren’t listed right now. I know there is some controversy regarding Howard taking scholarships away from students so that may be why as well. I don’t think they are necessarily outdated and I’m sure some are still being offered, but you may have to wait to get exact details. I know last year the Presidential (full ride including laptop and book voucher) qualifications were 3.75 or higher GPA with a 34-36 ACT.
Thank you @MSHopeful for your consultation!
I was wondering the same thing, so I asked via the communication page on their website. This is what they said: “Good day,
Thank you for contacting us! We are thrilled about your interest in Howard University. As we enter the 2017-2018 admission cycle, our scholarship program is
undergoing some changes. These changes will be posted in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please feel free to use the following links below to learn more about our institution. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.”
@lexithesupreme Same here, but it has been many weeks and still I can see only information about an up-to-full-tuition scholarship. Have you heard anything more?
