^Not supposed to matter too much, but IMO they probably unconsciously care about it quite a lot. 2 pages easily trump 1 page.

@ears there was a planned march, Executive Order 8802 by FDR stopped it.

I said ethical concerns are component, not an obstacle to success
I had 2 body paragraphs, mentioned Macbeth and Carnegie.. but I though that the overall essay was a bit repetitive... I wrote right up to very last space in the last line and had some "smarty" words... :/

my bad..haha i was gonna say that'd be a bad mistake...i forgot about that but i remember learning about it in us history now...

I used the Picture of Dorian Gray (by Oscar Wilde) and scientific experimentation (how scientists sometimes alter there results to gain recognition for making a "discovery")

1) Lord of the Flies
2) Teddy Roosevelt
3) Personal Experience

I'm expecting a 10 at the least. :D

I wrote about war(Hitler, mainly although I used Stalin and the US too) and the NBA(Jordan/Bryant, winning champinoships, etc)

I was going to write about the Great Gatsby, but I only had 2 minutes left so I had to write a conclusion..

I think I screwed my essay over by not putting Gatsby and putting the NBA instead..

will they score the essays harder than normal because everyone thought it was easier?

I used Rosa Parks and Korematsu :P and wrote 2 big developed body Paragraphs.

My topic was "Is it sometimes necessary to be impolite?"
and I used Teddy Roosevelt and Grapes of Wrath. I think it went really well. I filled every line in 17 minutes, which is the fastest I've ever done.

I used Great Gatsby - Gatsby bootlegger, a facade of himself but very successful & Invisible Man - protagonist honest and ethical but betrayed and lives in a manhole

I used Carnage, Rockefeller, and my older brother as examples.

1) Animal Testing
2) Bernie Madoff
3) Steroids in Sports

YAYAY I WAS SO HAPPY! HOPING FOR 10+

=)

I talked about FDR and Carnegie experiencing succcess despite having high ethical standards, and Madoff lacking morals and therefore suffering in the end.

I had the ethics and chose a pro position.

I kind of blanked on examples so just kind of "fluffed" my way through it.

The Pursuit of Happiness, the short story - The Most Dangerous Game, and Abraham Lincoln.

I think my intro and conclusions were pretty good but I had about a 1/4 of the second page left over so who knows. I am hoping for at least an 8.

I considered using Madoff but I figured everyone else would use it so....

I did well. Examples : Al Capone, Hitler, Napoleon. A paragraph for each, saying why the were successful.

i talked about muckrackers, middle class reformers/progressives & macbeth for my ethical topic

I had the ethics prompt. I used Charles Foster Kane in Citizen Kane, and the ongoing Bernie Madoff scandal. With 6 minutes left I wanted to add a paragraph about Micheal Corleone in The Godfather, but I chose to write a conclusion instead and I think that ended up hurting me.

I wrote about how corruption and dishonesty are ultimately exposed:
In my intro I said ....in the worlds of politics, religion, and academia (because I couldn't think of specifics XD and I didn't have time to go back)

For politics I mostly talked about how critical journalism (as pioneered by the muckrakers)
Religion (How the catholic priest scandal broke the moral contract that connected the priests and their congregations, and that ultimately no one is above the law)
Academia, high school cheating and the proliferation of plagerism (coupled with the life-altering punishments that can go with them)

would i be able to get a 12 with a strong intro and conclusion with 2 strong bodys?

1.5 pages, i wrote medium sized
