^^ Blahh I have noo idea how to do those :(

ManageBac just deleted my 25 hour CAS activity… this activity was finished over 15 months ago and I do not have any more photos… the system is seriously ***ed up. I tell you I hate IB programmers.

^ Mr. P I feel for you. Which component was it - C, A or S?

action. i now have 25 hours of action only. with one day remaining…

??? Ure CAS isn’t due yet? We had to do our CAS stuff the same time or prescribed title and EE was due in December…

EE was due in Dec. CAS was due in early Feb. But ManageBac removed my activities for no reason and I was given an extended period.

My school’s a bit more lax about stuff like CAS for IB, I’ve just got to turn in a portfolio at the end (coming up soon), but I have so say I think IB is a waste of time if you’re a US student going to US colleges, AP is much better.

IB seems to be a series of hoops that you have to jump through and it is very restrictive for student’s schedules and the teaching curriculum.

I also think that the IB tests are much more “game-able” than AP, for IB it’s all about learning the syllabus. I love physics and got perfect scores on the AP and IB SL Physics tests, but when I was taking practice tests for IB it was all about figuring out what they were looking for, whereas the AP tests were about physics. My dad is an engineer and when I would ask him for help studying he rarely understood the obtuse terminology used by IB, but he could always give me a great explanation for the AP questions. IB tends to look for certain buzz phrases contained in the syllabus and give students points for memorization.

That said, colleges look at both programs equally and in the end it’s all about the students and the teachers, I still love my school regardless of the occasional IB headaches.

lol IB headaches. I’m gonna get those nextyear.

Good luck [:
You’ll need it.

Group 4 was so pointless. I don’t even know what happened with that. My group and I BS’d something the night before it was due. If there’s anything IB teaches someone to do well, it’s to BS.

Once I got used to my schedule of sleeping 3 - 4 hours a night, IB’s been quite doable. My friends and I couple academic excursions with social excursions, so it’s not terrible. I had no social life Freshman and Sophomore year because I worked a job. It’s funny that IB would give me more time to hang out with friends.

Oh…I got the impression from all the seniors here that G4 was really fun. We’re forced to go out into a country park for two or three days though, so it might be different to how you guys do it.
