How's motorcycle parking on campus compared to cars?

Hey all,
I'm bringing my car up when I move to Berkeley, but I decided to live in El Cerrito instead of in Berkeley itself. Just liked the area better and figured a couple of miles is no big deal. I don't have the time for a bicycle or BART or any of that, I'm going to be commuting to the campus. I've heard horror stories about parking on campus, the fee for the parking permit is no big deal but how available are the spots? Assuming it's as hard to find a spot in a timely manner as I've heard (I have absolutely ZERO patience for circling lots looking for a spot) how's the motorcycle parking? I figure I can pick up a good bike for a couple thousand, and the motorcycle parking is cheap enough that I'll save on the permit and make it worthwhile.

I’m not 100% sure about motorcycle spots, but considering that’s it’s only $24 a month for a motorcycle permit, I’d say it’s more than worth it to ride one to campus. The great thing about motorcycles is that you can fit more than 1 bike in a parking spot, unlike a car where 1 spot is for 1 car. I’m more than willing to bet that there’ll be ample space.
