well,,, i have been in us for 4 years,, so im considered to be non-native english speaker, and MIT has 2 choices, 1 is SAT1+SAT2. 2 is TOEFL +SAT2
Im thinking about the second choice since my SAT1 is horrible
I live in California.

For SAT 1 (which i did really bad on) V530 M740 W560
For SAT 2 i got MATH IIC 800, Physics 740
For weighed GPA 4.48, unweighed 4.00 rank 1 of 357
AP tests: AP Cal BC 5, AB sub 5, AP Phy 5, AP Chem 3
taking AP Bio, AP Span, and AP Eng Lit this year, and Calculus 3, Computer Engineering at community college
TOEFL my range is 230~277, i havent got the result yet.
for EC. im treasure in Key Club this yr
4yrs in NHS, and KEY Club,
4yrs of Varsity Tennis
3yrs of Varsity Football
680 hours of community service
need your help,, be brutal.. if my chance is zero, then just tell me..

also, his EC's are lower than average. In my opinion, you have close to 0% chance of getting accepted, even if you raised your SAT scores. It's just that there are many other students who have only been in U.S. for 3~5 years and do extremely well on the SATs.

what if i use only my toefl score?? with SAT2s,, i dont even have to show them my SAT1 scores
and for EC, what do i need?? i have many other things i didnt list cuz i didnt know if its EC or not.. help me

u r korean, right? (assuming from your name) I am korean too lol, just wanted to say that first.

well..I don't know much about Toefl, but if it is considered better than your SAT 1 score, you might as well. However, I don't think the colleges will look at it favorably, since you've been living in the U.S. for 4 years already.

Before I tell you what EC's may be helpful, just list everything from 9 that you haven't mentioned yet. (especially awards, cuz i don't see any awards in your stat right now)

And if you submit your SAT II's, the SAT I is reported on the same score report. I don't know if they'll take it into consideration if you tell them you're applying through the TOEFL + SAT II option, but they will see it.

I'd say for EC's most MIT applicants will have done some science/math competitions and will have done research (a lot have probably been published). I think besides SATs, that's your major problem.

lol im korean,, anyway thank u again for your support..
