It should be the other way around. Ross is as competitive as Stern, if not more. =)

gonna have to side with mightynick on this one

idk guys...i guess we'll always have a bias towards the school we're going to. i mean, i got a $10K scholarship to Umich Ross (preffered admit) and no money frm NYU. i know NYU is stingy tho =) but anyways, i picked NYU over Umich and we have this thread on facebook on which schools Stern kids rejected (similar to the thread the Umich kids have) and out of like 100 ppl posting, like 60 replied they rejected Umich. regardless, both top-notch schools...cant really pick a clear winner so no worries.

Coming from Ross, I'm definitely biased. I don't really have numbers for how many Ross preferred admits turned down Stern, I was one of them though. Both are elite, so it seems like choosing between the two would be a matter of fit for most people.

Does Ross ask for SAT if I would be entering the school as a Junior?

This is what it says on their website:

Required Tests

Scores of standardized tests taken in high school may be required, depending on the number of college credits completed.

But it doesn't say what is the number of credits you need so you don't have to send SATs

Another question I have about IU is.. have you heard anything about their facilities?

I just read in Business Week's Top 50 charts the following:

"Undergrad facilities need improvement"

Any comments on this?

Not sure about IU facilities. Pretty sure Ross asks for SATs from transfers. Really sure you can't transfer in there as a junior.

@jnpn

Is it because their biz program is 3 years?

They don't have much info on their website.

"Students are not prohibited from applying in their sophomore year. However, you are required to complete three years in the Ross School. Due to course sequencing, it is not possible to accelerate the 3-year program."

I turned down stern for michigan too (and this was before there was preferred admit). But i think a good reason why people choose stern over umich is because you have reapply to the bschool after freshman year..and if you don't get in you can't do business (this is if you're not a PA, of course). Overall, i think the student body pretty comparable...well besides the fact that stern as like 70% asian....
