How's the campus for a push scooter?

Hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how good the UCI campus is for a push scooter? My apt. is about a 20 min walk from the main buildings and it seems like a good way to get around if the sidewalks and everything aren’t too bad.

From the little of the campus I have seen it seems very mild on the hills and the sidewalks and streets seem pretty well maintained. But then again I haven’t tried riding on them.

I’d rather not take my bike up, mainly I don’t want the chance for it to get stolen nor have to deal with all the hassles that go with storage and everything, plus I don’t even have street tires. And I don’t have or know how to ride a skateboard, and I really don’t want to learn at this point. My center of balance is pretty bad when it comes to surfing and snowboarding already, I’d rather not add pavement to that mix lol.
