...in the dining hall at UR? Is the meal plan a rip-off? I've heard of some schools where the 'rules' regarding the meal plan make it virtually impossible to get your money's worth. Anybody with a view on this?

i'm am not a u of r student, but three very close friends go there and i've been on campus numerous times and have eaten on campus numerous time.

I might be spoiled with good food at Cornell, but the food at U of R was pretty crappy. It was fine for one meal, but as my friend said "meal after meal after meal is pretty horrible." Unless you have a car, it'd be a real hassle to get food from a store off campus. I'm not sure what the rules are regarding meal plans, either.

There are three main places to eat, the food tends to go a week or two being just really bad , and then another week or two being good/decent.

Food is definitely a weak spot at UR and thankfully they're trying to fix it.

i heard ppl talking about how the food is good at UR except being repetitive, but there are many options available outside the regular meal plan. i'm gonna learn some indian food, so if anyone wants some tasty indian food, make sure you look me up (SUMAN G.)...
