How's The Social Life???

<p>I've been looking at GA Tech for a while because they have very good engineering programs, and it's only a few hours from where I live. However I found out that the M/F ratio is >2:1. For current students and alumni: does this make for weird social dynamics? Are you staying up late working all the time like Caltech students are famous for doing? Is it possible to have fun while maintaining a good GPA? Are the students generally happy, miserable, or somewhere in between?</p>

<p>I am looking at Materials Science & Engineering btw.</p>

<p>You can easily do well in your classes and have a good social life if you manage your time well. </p>

<p>I think that students depend on each other to maintain a happy, miserable or in between status so it should be at the top of your list to make friends, especially with freshmen if you're new, while you're at tech.</p>
