How's the Spanish Placement Test?

I currently have an A- in Honors Spanish V at my high school. That said, I suck at spanish. That grade is 95% the consequence of hard work and 5% ability. Oh yeah, and my grammar for an honors student probably isn't that stellar. So to those of you who have taken this test, how is it? What's tested? Multiple choice or essay? Any info would be dandy.

has no one ever taken it?

It's all multiple choice, half reading half listening. I only took Spanish I and II my junior year of high school, and still placed into 231. You probably have a decent chance at testing out of your language requirement.

What classes do you have to take to fulfill the language requirement?

4 semesters of proficiency is what you need...

it's not hard to place out of it...i got about 80% correct and placed out of all 4 semesters.

cherrybarry, cuantos anos tienes de espanol en la escuela secundaria?

tres <---is that how you spell it? lol

I took 4 years in HS and, like cherrybarry, got somewhere in the 80's for percentage on the test, and placed out of all four semesters, though I had friends who got in the 70's and placed out of all 4. It's a pretty easy test, and if i were to put things on a scale of difficulty 1-10, I'd put the AP test at about an 8 and the Umich spanish placement test at maybe a 4 or 5. It is far easier than AP.
