I have about .001% of my shopping done, which is bad, since there's about three weeks left and a million things to buy. Where's everyone in their school shopping?

ahhh no where

Staples usually has good deals on school supplies. I love the 1 cent folder or 10 cent notebook deals. I can buy everything I need for under 5 dollars. (This is for the normal school supplies not boarding school stuff).

Shoot! I’m leaving in two days and I somehow forgot the actual supply’s for classes, looks like another chaotic year is already starting for me…

Remember that you don’t have to have everything on day one.
You can fill in gaps at local stores once you arrive, or order online and ship to school.

I leave in less then a month, and I’ve got nothing, literally. I’m a perfectionist, I like when things follow a chart of things to do, it’s not following it. At all. :|

this is super duper random but go to drugstore.com to buy toiletries and such in bulk for school. it saves same ca-ching…idk my mom uses it

I haven’t bought anything yet, but I am planning on buying 95% of the stuff when I get there, although 2 days is not alot of time…

target has some good deals too. its funny when you buy big dorm items that all the college kids next to you are getting. i wonder wat they think…

They probably think you’re going to college too…

I haven’t bought anything yet…this is a minor problem

KMart has XL twins sheet sets for 10.00 this week!

I’m pretty much done with clothes shopping. I don’t think I’ll buy sheets, towels, ect., until I get there, since it’s too hard to transport big bulky items. I also need to buy a bike and maybe skis when I’m over there…

Shopko has very nice cotton XL matress pad/covers on sale for 12 dollars and the foam pads for about the same. And one subject notebooks and folders for 15 cents. How can that even be possible?

I’ve gotten a backpack, bedding set, and laptop. Other than that, nothing. I’m probably going to go clothes shopping next week and buy everything else once I get there.

My mom bought me a lot of towels, and a comforter as well as sheets. As far as clothes go, I just got a lot of polos and khaki pants and shorts. I think I will just wait untill Winter to buy big jackets and boots., How long into the Fall are you able to wear shorts in New Hampshire?

Usually at least into late October. However, if the Winter begins as mild, you’ll also see some locals wearing shorts well into December.

yea, very few kids wear shorts all through the winter

I just today bought for my son: 2 sets of sheets online, 2 down blankets, mattress pad, 2 towels, and pillow, and had it all shipped to Andover (except for one set of sheets and a towel that I figure we’ll bring with us in case we can’t get to the boxes right away). I tried taking him clothes shopping last week, but there was a serious lack of interest. I got 2 pairs of jeans and then gave up on it. He seems happy with his wardrobe as is. I figure I’ll ship out a couple of more boxes of clothes and musical instruments a week before. And buy any other necessaries once we’re there. I’m sure I’ll forget something important.

My advice on buying bedding once you get there:
DON’T DO IT.
buy your comforter, or duvet, or quilt as soon as you can…When I went shopping (before school) last year…it was impossible to find anything. All the college students and early bird BS students had taken everything. I was FINALLY able to find something at target.
When I got to school…my dad and I went to get a mattress pad (which I HIGHLY recommend) We were able to find something, but there weren’t many left. We also noted how there wasn’t any Twin XL bedding

If you can…do your linens shopping now…you’ll be super thankful later.
