I’m currently a junior in high school and have had no room in my schedule to take an art class. If I’m out of state and want to apply to a UC does it matter if my year of art is my senior year to even be considered? Also, most of the art classes at my school are one semester and it says UCSB has a requirement of a year-long art course, so would this just be a course like drawing I first semester and drawing II next?

2 semester-long classes in the same discipline count. So Drawing 1 & Drawing II count. Drawing I and Painting I counts. Drawing i and Sculpture I counts. Drawing I and Orchestra I (or dance or theater, etc) does not count.
