HS Junior Chances/Tips For Getting In

I know my stats probably seem really generic but what are my chances? Any way to improve my EC, and what should I aim for on the SAT? I plan to take it in April. Can I take the ACT?

My transcript is currently incorrect because it doesnt include the high school classes I took in the 8th grade. I'm not sure if this affects my rank or not?

Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated

get above a 1200 SAT, keep that GPA up, and try to be in the top 10-15% of your class, and you should be fine

thanks for the feedback! I think the hard part for me is going to be writing good essays and the SAT :-/

Are you really going to take that many AP suddenly? Senior year is not as easy as you think it is. you have apps, SAT(i bet you'll want to take one or two times in senior year), other college stuffs, and work(probably). I'm doing almost the same thing (4APs including 2AP sciences and english is not my first language) and my grades this year suck very badly, partly because i work 30 hours part time each week, of course.
p.s. I'm a senior

you can always take ACT instead of SAT. A lot of people who was stuck at SAT take ACT and do extraordinarily well.

I hear that essays are crucial with UVA. Of course one has to have good stats too, but compared to other college applications, UVA does have the student write a good amount.

IhateCR- Well my school offers AP only in 11th and 12th grade. And the only AP courses for juniors are English and US History. I couldn't take US History AP because it wouldn't fit in my schedule with it only being 1 block so I had to settle for DUAL. My guidance counselor says that UVA looks for the most rigourous course load, and that is pretty much it for seniors! I don't know how you manage with a part time job :-/ ... I definately have ruled out that possibility! Hopefully I can handle it...whoever said senior year is suppose to be easy is sooo very wrong lol.

good luck!! ahhaha yeah I'm getting 3Bs and 4As. it looks kinda bad but i need the part time for my family.

but 3B's and 4A's is good, especially with AP classes!! You should be fine, the university will see the part time job hours on the application.
