I’m currently a junior in HS right now, and I was wondering what my chances were of getting into Pitt’s Swanson School next year when I’m applying.
3.9 GPA, 4.7 WGPA
27 ACT (only have taken it once, plan to take 1-2 more times)
Top 10% Class Rank
Have taken 3 AP’s up to this point, with 2-3 more during my senior year next year. The rest are all CHS or Honors.
In-state
Letter in two sports, NHS and Science Honors Society(something my school does)
Your GPA is very good and it looks like you have had a rigorous curriculum. ACT is in the lower part of their range. Being in-state should help though. Nice extracurriculars too.
I’m going to have to say that you are a low match-match. Pitt might be a safety if you can bring the ACT up.
Thanks for the help. Something else I was wondering. Does Pitt take your highest scores for each part of the ACT? Like do they take your highest math, highest reading, etc out of your 2-3 tries?
@AJSH2P, We combine your highest SAT critical reading and/or ACT English and math sub scores from all tests submitted. We also require that you submit a writing score.
