HS Permanent Record shown to colleges?

I was wondering if stuff on your school permanent record will be sent to colleges and whether it will have an affect on acceptance.
For UCs i believe that the colleges don't see anything until you get accepted; all honor system right? </p>

<p>but for privates, when the school sends them transcript do they see ur record?</p>

<p>I have like a first offense academic dishonesty (cheating) its a minor thing but its on my record, so i was wondering if it will be shown to colleges. It wasn't a suspension or anything.</p>

<p>Yes. If you were caught cheating the school will know. It is asked on the application, too.</p>

<p>The question asks about probation, suspension, felony and academic dishonesty doesn't fit in any one of those categories. </p>

<p>Also how would school know if only for UC its honor system and for privates its just school transcript.</p>
