For those of you who've gone to SPOP for UC Irvine, are high school transcripts needed? Do you actually use them for something? I'm concerned because my high school's office is on vacation and I don't have any transcripts -_-

No, a transcript is not needed. :D

if they haven’t received your hs transcript, yes. if they did, then no.

My spop is tomorrow! im super nervous lol A LOT of people from my school are going to irvine, but none of them are going to the same spop as me but i guess it will be a chance for me to meet new people.

i had my high school rush me a transcript a few days prior… turns out it wasnt even needed. nobody asked about it.

the system also has all your ap tests and they have already blocked students out of the classes you skip if you received a 4 or 5 on.

it does help to know ur student number.

as soon as lunch starts ask a spop staffer to direct you to where you get your ID card the line got MASSIVE a few mins afterwards

it’s a lot of fun. make sure that you have closed-toed shoes and know your student id number. it’ll be a lot of help. but even if you don’t know it, they’ll provide you a label with your student id on it, so don’t worry too much.
just be ready to open your heart to the new people you meet!

Whew. Thought I was doomed without transcripts :p

Spop has sounded amazing, according to all my buddies. I’m getting hyped!
And another question. We’re grouped according to School, yes? I’m currently in School of Soc. Science. If i switch to Humanities during spop, which school will I be grouped in?

During academic advising you would go into the school you are switching into.

I seriously didn’t need any official papers whatsoever. I brought everything ranging from my test scores, a copy of my transcript, and even my bank statements.

They never checked anything, so you’re fine
