HSOC course in school of public health as undergrad

I'm a sophomore and health and societies major, and I'm considering taking PUBH 519 Issues in Global Health next semester to fulfill my core course requirement for my global health concentration. However, I'm worried that I'm not ready to take a grad school course. I would take another class instead, but the other one being offered next semester is full. I'm studying abroad in the spring so I wanted to get my core course out of the way instead of waiting until senior year. I was wondering if anyone has taken this class, or any other classes in the school of public health or grad schools so you could explain how different it was in terms of difficulty and competition for grades in comparison to undergrad courses. Thanks.

Redcoat - I can’t specifically answer your Penn question, but I can give you insight from my daughter. She is a senior at Rochester (son is at Wharton) and majors in epidemiology. She also is in a 3/2 program to get her masters in Public Health. Because of her major and the 3/2 program she began taking graduate public health courses as a junior. She has consistently said that her graduate level courses are no more difficult and ofter easier than her undergraduate courses. She also has stated that grading and competition are not greater at the graduate level.
