does anyone know about the human development major, at human ecology?
can someone explain it to me...
if i'm strong at history is it a good fit

I applied for that major but I think I want to switch schools :/ It involves like the life cycle and how people's environments, uprbringing, and experiences shape their personalities. I think its a very broad major that entails a lot. But yea.. if you're good at history you can talk about that in your essays because Humec talks about how their mission involves the understanding of contemporary issues.

for an intended history/premed major - applying to this major,

if i talk about history, will it look like im just trying to get into the college that i have the greatest chance, or could i pull it off?

You shouldn't make history a main idea in your essays if your applying for human development. I talked about how I tutor a lot and have a little sister and how I'm very interested in child psychology and helping children. Use your activities or experiences to somehow show how human development would interest you. I would just add history as another point. If your interested in pre med maybe apply to like one of the health and bio majors at humec. Just write a very convincing essay and show ENTHUSIASM for your major.. thats what I did and I think it was one of the main things that really helped me.

I like REALLY looked into the Human Ecology mission and everything so if you need anyone to look at your essays to see if theyre convincing enough I'd be happy too. :)

awsome, ill keep that in mind
