Human resources masters (not necessarily mba) coming from other fields or lower level college?

I want to be in human resources. I got accepted to University of Pittsburgh as an undergraduate transfer but I don’t think I can afford to go there. I go to California University of Pennsylvania. I’m wondering how hard it would be to go to a masters program where they teach more complicated stuff without having an undergrad degree where they teach the more complicated stuff. Do a lot of those programs assume you have a base knowledge already?
Also I’m very interested in HRM books from other colleges if anyone knows schools that publish their textbook lists or if you’ve read any good ones.
Thanks!!
