I'm really interested in Harvard and I was wondering what activities did you guys do that were related to humanities/politics/history/international relations? This question is particularly to those interested in pursuing a humanities major. I can really use some ideas.

Here's a wild and crazy idea- do activities that you find interesting instead of acitivities that you think Harvard wants to see. That way,

a)You have an enjoyable high school experience with activities that you're interested in
b)You show Harvard who you really are and what you're passionate about, not some image that you're prentending to be

I'm also wondering what year you are- if you're a senior, it's a little late to be wondering about what extracurriculars you should be doing, since I hope you're not planning on padding your application.

Well, as you can see, I am asking for activities in the Humanities field, so maybe that strikes out your suggestion in (a) and (b). I am interested in Humanities field, such as history, and politics. So there shouldn't be a worry about me trying to mold myself into what Harvard may want. Plus, I think any activity that someone suggests related to humanities I may enjoy. ;)

The second purpose of this thread is to get ideas. I figure that those who are accepted in Harvard excel in generic activities, or have done unique and interesting activities. So if someone has done either of the two, I'd like to know so maybe I can get ideas for things I can do too. There aren't many clubs in my school related to politics or clubs (none at all actually) so I am looking for some ideas for what I can do, things others have done, experiences - stuff that can give me some "enjoyable high school experiences." :)

And no, I am not a senior. I am a junior. I hope its not TOO late to be thinking of new ideas for things to do.
