Humanities/International relations courses at Binghamton vs. Geneseo?

Hi everyone,

I have to chose between Binghamton and Geneseo and I'm pretty confused. I visited both but still don't know. I like the more intimate feel to Geneseo, but I also don't mind the bigger feel at Binghamton and like the fact that there seems to be more to chose from (classes, activities, etc.) I'm looking for input from people with direct experience with these areas at both schools: Humanities, International/Global studies, Anthropology/Sociology, etc. I'm undecided but those are the things I'm interested in. I want to know how strong those areas are at both schools but also how the academic vibe in classes in general is. I wasn't able to sit in on classes at either schools. Are students passive or involved in discussions? Is the focus just on good grades or are people intellectually curious and want to learn? I desperately need advice. Thanks in advance.

Hey Im in the same boat but for Biology and Education. Humanities might be better from Geneseo. They are one of the top Liberal Arts schools in NY.

English and History major at Binghamton- all of my classes have had really lively discussion/participation plus we have a lot of courses to choose from. I’m very happy.
