Hey, I went last year, and I go to Princeton now. Basically, the classes are good, but they vary a lot. The "academic" classes are all seminars- I think they have 10-20 people. You just sort of discuss the topics the readings touched upon- but, umm, no one reads the whole packet (many people didn't even open it, it seemed). But really, you would only need to do the reading for the classes you end up going to, which I think is just two, out of however many readings there were. So basically, don't stress about the classes, but it definitely helps to at least skim the readings, so you have something to say. You also go to an elective-type class- the one I went to was painting, which was actually really, really fun (and I'm not a painter at all). Aside from that, they have some other organized things for you- like, at one point, I think there's some kind of dinner where you chat with professors and admissions people. And umm, the hosts are really cool. (I'm hosting!)

Which of these profs is particularly stimulating and engaging?

Hal Foster
Eduardo Cadava
Philip Nord
Michael Jennings
David Bellos
Thomas Levin
Graham Burnett
Anson Rabinbach
Michael Wood
Froma Zeitlin

Thanks.

bump... i want to know the answer to kideo's question

Oh, and did you get to go to your first choice classes? Are there certain classes that everyone wants to do?
