Humboldt vs. SF State

Hi guys!

I've been accepted for spring to Humboldt State, SF State, and Sac State; however, I'm not very inclined to go to Sac State (I've lived in Sacramento for the last five years as is).

The SF campus seems terrible; but the surrounding area is of course - San Francisco.

As for Humboldt, I've never seen it (but I am visiting this weekend). The campus seems nice, but I'm worried about the surrounding area.

And as a side note to ALL of this - I've applied to Cal Poly for Fall 2014 and am also applying to UC's Berkeley and Santa Cruz

(My major will be Environmental Studies/City and Regional Planning)

If anyone could provide some insight into Humboldt/SF State, I'd really appreciate it.

Doesn’t Humboldt have a great Environmental Studies program?

If you go to Humboldt, just don’t go hiking far off in the woods. Lots of “growers” guarding their crop.

It’s hard to imagine more opposite environments than Humboldt and CSUSF.
