Hunter or Arizona State?
I want to be a ESL teacher in China or Japan. I know all I technically need is degree of any kind and TESL certificate. Here my problem I got to decide whether to apply to Hunter College or Arizona State, I can only apply to one because at moment my family short on money for application fee and they don't accept fee waivers. If I go to ASU I plan major in a elementary education ESL and possibly Chinese. If I go to Hunter I plan major in Chinese, and maybe possibly after graduating get a master in the ESL program if I can afford it ( apparently the ESL teaching program at Hunter only offers master and is not offer to undergraduates, so I got become a graduate first.)

Other details that may or may not matter:
I live in Colorado.
I'm Mexican American.
GPA unweighted 3.6, weighted 3.7
ACT scores 25
I took the SAT, but I haven't gotten my scores back yet.
I'm AP Chinese student.
I do plan to apply for financial aid and scholarships and also find work while in college.
I have applied to other schools, but either got a free application or waiver.
I chose Hunter & ASU because they offer Chinese, were recommend by my Chinese teacher, and are in Chinese flagship program.

Hunter College:
tuition: $11,040
location: New York
ranks 38 on usnews regional univ. North
other concerns: I would love to live in New York, but I'm afraid of the cost

ASU:
tuition: $21,807
location: Arizona
ranks 139 on usnews national univ.
other concerns: I hear ASU is a huge party school. I don't hate parties, but I'm not a party animal and I'm more worried about getting an education and being successful.
