Hey there,
Ive been trawling the web regarding the Huntsman Program over the last few days. People seem to have very conflicting opinions. Some turn down HYP for it, others claim it is terribly overrated.
I’ve been blessed with getting into Huntsman but not so much the other ivies, well one other but it shall not be named.
Ive gotten into Cambridge as well though and I’m really torn as it seems I might be losing academic rigour and prestige by going to Penn. Yet I know a US education is that much richer and should more than compensate for a career in the civil service. Im an international by the way.
Any thoughts?
I’ll be glad to help with any admission questions to these schools and Huntsman in particular
I really don’t know enough about Cambridge to help make any comparison guess for you, but are you really worried about a lack of academics and prestige coming out of Penn undergrad with two full degrees, one of which is from Wharton -arguably the best business school in the world???
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t Cambridge business school only at the graduate level (MBA)? So you would need an undergrad degree first before you ever received the hands on business training that you will receive from Wharton as an undergrad. That right there would make me look no further… at Penn in Huntsman you are graduating in 4 years with both a BS in Economics from Wharton, and a BA in International Studies from the College of Arts and Sciences. IMO, it doesn’t get more prestigious than that worldwide.
