I accepted csu- sjsu for spring 2021 from ccc. However I want to go ucb. I left one major requirement class, differential equation. I was thinking to take class in sjsu on spring and transfer to ucb.
But I concerned the chances between csu to uc is much lower than ccc to uc. So I am thinking about take the class in ccc, and didn’t go to sjsu. Then, I concerned what if I won’t accept the ucb, maybe csu won’t accept next aswell, then I waste my time, a year…
which one is better do you think?
I have one more question: my transferable gpa is 3.8 but my gpa in ccc transcript (include non-transferrable courses) is around 3.2. is it really care or do I submit only transferable courses in uc app?
You can take 3 3-unit courses, or 2 4-unit courses + a 1-unit course.
Apply widely when you apply to UCs (ie., Santa Cruz, Riverside, Merced) as well as CSUs.
If all of your units are both (a) lower-division (b) not taken at a UC then you can’t accumulate excess units for purposes of UC admission no matter how credits you have. See University of California Counselors pp 34-35
Thank you for your information!
But I believe that UC admission doesn’t care about the Spring GPA. I believe I have to get over C. but Can I raise my GPA with the Spring classes?
Sorry but I am a little bit confused that after adding 33units + 24units + 1units, then the total units is 99. Can I take the courses over 90units?
Thank you for your Information! I am very clear about submitting courses: thank you! However, I can’t find the resources that you said about “If all of your units are both (a) lower-division (b) not taken at a UC then you can’t accumulate excess units for purposes of UC admission no matter how credits you have.” from the pdf that you write…
