I think this new SAT is too long. I have taken it twice and both times I felt that by sections 8 and 9 I wasn't as sharp as I could have been. Not having taken the old version, I have nothing to compare to the new SAT. What do you all think about its length?

I think it's a bit too long, but one can definitely adjust to it through properly timed practice tests.

I think you really have to be focused to make it through the entire test. Therefore, the length lends itself to those who are serious about it and prepared to do their best --> instead of walk ins and people who don't give a crap.

It is hard though.

i know its long, buts its funny, cause in Taiwan we use to have finals that last 6 to 7 hours straight. But now i'm tired after 4 hours....boy am i spoiled

6-7 hours of testing is definitely an experience. I had the Biology AP and Physics B AP back to back.

how long are AP tests each?

i just chanted my target score in my head during the last three sections. it worked... and i had a full bladder, too

ap tests are 3 hours long

wait what the hell, isn't the new sat only like 3 hours long as well?

oh, okay. 3:45.

whoa!!!

it's not the length of the test tht's soporific (right usage of the word?) but the long cr passages!!

In 2 weeks...

I will have 7 hours straight testing for 5 days

i was half asleep into the 3rd section...due to the brk in between >< grr..when i stood up, my brain melted away ><
