<p>On what basis? You can’t just make accusations like that…</p>
<p>First of all i CAN make accusations like that, second of all, on the basis that many students outside of the top ten percent were accepted at UChicago from my school (a somewhat competative public school) and actually a kid outside of the top half was accepted to davidson. Collegeboard says that all students at davidson were in the top half.</p>
<p>I’m sure they round it… maybe there wasn’t a significant enough number of students outside of the top half to take note of</p>
<p>It’s tricky-- the data they have agrees with what colleges send them and <1% is almost always rounded to 0%. On top of that, colleges only report what is reported to them. Surprisingly, you’ll notice that colleges typically only get 50-60% of their applicants’ class ranks.</p>
