I did well in undergrad and not too badly on my SAT's (around 600v/700m) but I can't get this idea out of my mind that I can't pass the GRE.

My fear is not based on any concrete evidence, just my gut feeling that I am not good enough.

Don’t worry too much. The GREs are just overgrown SATs. There’s nothing really “different” about the structure of the questions, they’re just more difficult.

Be prepared, if you do go to graduate school, you won’t ever shake that feeling of being ‘not good enough’. No matter how much you know, how hard you try, how much experience you’ve gotten, you will always feel outclassed and outdone by people around you. It’s called impostor syndrome and affects pretty much everyone.

The best way to get over those nerves is to prepare yourself. The GRE is nothing to worry about. It’s basically the SAT/ACT, but a little faster. Pick up a GRE prep book and practice with a timer. Getting used to the pace and the types of questions will put you at ease. Good luck!
