I am an international student. Help me guys

Do you think GPA in my previous college in Korea can effect my overall GPA from community college when I apply UCB and UCLA?

I worry about it because my GPA in Korean university is not good, 3.23/4.5. I am going to apply totally different major with my previous one, from architecture design to asian studies. Actually, Berkeley admission said 2 years ago that 52 of all of my units from Korean institution can be transferable. I cannot believe that so many units can be transferable units. Anyway I will apply UCs with 51 units, and finish 70 units until last spring semester.

Fortunately, I am maintaining 4.0 GPA now, and have done many and various extra activities about my major such as military service and working experience in the global company. But, I cannot stop to worry about it. I really wanna get into UCB. Please answer my question.

Someone recommended me to hide my education history. But I will never hide it. I want to be honest student in USA.

Thank you.

I’m glad you are not listening to such bad advice. Presenting a deceptive application is ground for dismissal from the university or they can revoke your diploma even, not fun to live that way.

I suggest you talk to the transfer advisor at your college. My own feeling is they will give more weight to your CC classes and your prerequisites for intended major.
