Black history shouldnt be celebrated in February, it should be celebrated all year round in my opinion. People shouldn't limit themselves to one month of the year to focus on the contributions blacks have made to history. In the large scope of things, other minorities shouldn't be limited to one month as well.

Peaches....J. Philippe Rushton is an eugenics driven fool...you should go look him up on wikipedia before you cite his "work" as evidence. His basic research uses eugenics and states basically that there are two extremes in the world.

Asians= intelligent, weak, passive
Blacks= aggressive, ignorant, sex-driven
Whites= surprisingly...they are the perfect mix... intelligent, strong, adaptable blah, blah, blah

Keep in mind that groups like the KKK, Christian Party, and other hate groups use this man to support their arguments.

That's true, but it will be a long time until that occurs. Most people don't even know what month other minorities are celebrated in...

You posted something that CRITICS say. CRITICS obviously aren't gonna be saying things that are completely unbiased.

right..

Research, dear. Research. You quoted J. Philippe Rushton, he is more or less a white supremist. This is who you're getting your information from? You read the first sentence, like a genius, and completely skip over everything else that is what the entire page is about and thus look like a fool.

Right.

Edit: And critics, by definition are just people who disagree. So you're saying that because they're labeled as "critics" they're not valid?

Really now, you don't even seem as if you're trying.

as long as any minority stands out to be "recognized" or celebrated or is given sum sort of advantage such as AA...there will be no advancement in racial equality...to be equal means everyone gets the same treatment. We dont have that right now, we are too busy trying to give minorities the respect they deserve while at the same time still singleing them out as different people....big mistake in my opinion

I'm a critic of affirmative action, so I'm not valid. CRITICS are going to oppose what they are critical of. End of story.

You bore me.
Your argument is whats not valid.
Its also weak, unstable, and you have nothing to work with.
Thus your viewpoint is obviously the same.
How can you be a critic of something, and you can't even properly defend your viewpoint? It would be different if you could actually defend your standpoint, but nothing you've said is worth while, expect for you misquoted wikipedia and are citing a white supremist as your source.

Affirmative action is pointless. Minorities in the beginning wanted equality. That means equal in case you didn't know. If things were truly equal, everyone would have equal chance of getting in to a college despite race. So, you really do not want the same things as MLK or Rosa Parks, activists got bored and reached their goal, so they found more to ***** about, thus begetting the concept of affirmative action.

To be equal is to be treated equally true.
But AA is needed to provide equality.
A large amount of minorities go to underfunded, underdeveloped, overall weak school systems, come from corrupt cities etc. etc.

AA was intended to give a handicap to those who got a weak headstart because of their situation.

However, I agree that AA should not be based on race, it should be based on the above (situation, income, etc.) but its difficult to prove that someone grew up in that enviornment. You see here, that this troll is already trying to exploit that.

Its easier to just generalize that all minorities come from one condition - though that may not be true or fair.

It doesnt matter though, Bush plans to get rid of AA, gay marriages, and anything else he isn't into.

Hush. You're beginning to sound racist, and you're spouting nonsensical crap like one. Which would explain why you're so hard up on anything related to blacks.

And I agree completely with Bush on almost all of the major issues. Giving a certain race a handicap and generalizing like that is just like how I said blacks are more involved with crime, etc. That's not even worth fighting because they are. Put on America's Most Wanted. You see mostly minorities, particularly black and hispanic.

Not racist at all, truthful and the opposite of racist. I think that it may be more of the other races that are being racist because they support AA.

HAHA! THIS HAS TO BE THE DUMBEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL YEAR. NO ALL DECADE!

You aren't worth dealing with, do research before replying. You sound foolish. But then again... if you quack like a duck.

Do you even know what racist means? You can't be racist JUST BECAUSE you support AA. Really, you're getting more and more pathetic, are you a child or something?

Racism means think your race is superior to others.
How does AA force someone to think they're superior... oddly enough because the whole point, as you JUST said was enforce equality.

So people who support AA want racial equality, yet feel racially superior?

Please don't say that AA is pointless....can you truly say that you believe that everyone in this country is given an equal chance to succeed??

You believe everything you see on TV? Peaches...just stop now...

Know, everything you've said is garbage.
And what makes you think I'm "angry", are the characters on screen yelling at you? Do they have mean little faces? Or did you jump to this conclusion in the same oh-so brilliant way you jumped to all your other silly conclusions?

AA is not about equality. If it were equality, it would be even playing field. Giving minorities the advantage in admissions process is not equal. Equal is like x=x. Not x=2x. Get it??
