SlightM, I am not sure that MIT is more prestigious as Princeton as you claim.

^It honestly depends on the field. The econ/classics departments at P, for example, have an edge. Engineering (except ORFE maybe), MIT wins – but P has excellent engineering.

^JohnAdams: For engineering, math, or science - I will give it the nod.

iamtbh, how is that inferiority complex coming along?

ever thought that if you had written something different in the application you could have been admitted to Princeton?

by the way, nothing more low-life than coming on these boards and specifically posting only negative stuff abougt one particular school…

good luck with that part-time night school though. Isn’t it time you crack those elementary arithmetic books for the week?

^For math, absolutely not. Princeton’s department is world-renowned and has been for a very long time. MIT, Harvard, and Princeton have the best math departments in the world.

^You are right, but engineering still gets the nod for MIT.

slightM, I am a ChE and at the time that I was deciding, Princeton was as good or better than MIT in ChE. Now it is slightly behind…

you mentioned Physics and Math. Shall we compare Princeton with MIT in Physics and Math?

MIT is a breeding ground for geniuses. Princeton is a breeding ground for lazy descendants of aristocrats who bank on their family name and wish to dine separately from the riff-raff. (That’s why the Eating Club fees are so outrageous.)

Approximately 60% of Princeton legacies get admitted. What a joke. And some people have problems with “affirmative action.”

How’s that Princetonian ■■■■■■■■ (currently 11.46 posts per day) coming along?

I didn’t apply. As an international student, I am fully aware that HYSM’s global reputation far exceeds that of Princeton.

Let’s neutralize you right here. Citation please? Or leave.

Man, it’s so easy to shut you down. All you have to ask for is a bit of evidence, and then you poof!

Welcome to the real world. Just in case you didn’t notice, it isn’t what you know, but who you know…to use a cliched sentence.

ha!, iamtbh, the Princeton reject with the inferiority complex posts again:

"MIT is a breeding ground for geniuses. Princeton is a breeding ground for lazy descendants of aristocrats who bank on their family name and wish to dine separately from the riff-raff. (That’s why the Eating Club fees are so outrageous.)

Approximately 60% of Princeton legacies get admitted. What a joke. And some people have problems with “affirmative action.” "

iamtbh, tell us more about this:

"Princeton is a breeding ground for lazy descendants of aristocrats who bank on their family name and wish to dine separately from the riff-raff. (That’s why the Eating Club fees are so outrageous.) "

What needs to be said, “John Adams”?

@ Baelor:

Only inarticulate posters rely so heavily on “emoticons.”

For humanities, Princeton=Stanford>MIT
For social sciences such as psycology, politics, and sociology, Stanford > Princeton > MIT
For econ, MIT> Princeton > Stanford, with tiny difference.
For math, Princeton>MIT>Stanford, with tiny difference
For physics, all 3 are the same.
For other science fields, such as chemistry, biology, earth science, and computer science,
Stanford=MIT>Princeton
For engineering, MIT=Stanford>Princeton.

Prove this claim or leave:

This is an objective (albeit false) statement. Each time you post without justifying it, you undermine your own credibility, however much of a joke it may be, and therefore no one sees you as anything but a ■■■■■. If you want to bash Princeton, do so legitimately.

So old. So tired. So Princetonian.

The proof is in the pudding. Have you ever read your own posts?

I must qualify this statement. This refers to the ED admit rate (for legacies) when Princeton still had ED.
