Although I like all three schools, I would be tempted to say Stanford. It has few departmental weaknesses, has one of the best financial aid programs, and does not practice the grade deflation that Princeton and MIT do. Plus, the weather is attractive. I could, however, imagine individual circumstances under which I would choose one of the other two schools.

^ I see some on the waitlist recommending the OP pick another school. Frankly, there is something a little irritating about some who’s gotten in to three top schools dropping by to discuss these great choices, when others hanging on the board are just hoping for a last-minute chance.

I gave a longer answer on the Princeton subforum. But why in the world was I on the Princeton subforum? Hmm.

I said MIT! but mostly because of major. If I had a major offered at both schools and had also applied to and gotten into Princeton, I would have been very conflicted. Probs would have decided based on visit. They have very different visit-feels.

MIT for me, but there is no best school. There is possibly a best match, but that is a highly individual, personal thing. Pick the school where you feel at home, you are picking your home for the next 4 years.

when i was accepted to MIT EA, i told my friends (they do not apply nor attend US schools) across the world ( i immigrated to US just a little over 18 months). they all knew that name. they don’t know exactly what it is but they have heard about it. so, MIT has become a “brand” if you will.

i know Stanford and Princeton are great schools and have a great reputation. but I am going with MIT here.
