I'm writing about rescuing a kitten in my neighborhood (I can PM/email you a copy of my essay). I finished the essay already, but my brother told me that it doesn't appear too passionate, and I should reconsider writing about it. My teacher, friend at Northeastern, cousin, uncle and friend at UMass Lowell all said my essay's topic is fine, but to make it less passive. I do care about this kitten and it has impacted me because it showed me how the little things matter, and I volunteer at the animal shelter in my neighborhood. If you are willing, would you look at my essay? I want tips, and to be told if it's too cliche.

I’ll read it, if you want. You can PM me.
