Is this a good topic for the Common App essay????

<p>So i have recently written a draft of my common app personal essay. its rather brief at only 500 words and im still hesitant about my topic. i dont have it typed up yet, so i will just discuss my general topic. so here goes...</p>

<p>basically i wrote about how on a service trip in texas i found a cat. and how all the people on my trip thought i was crazy when i became stubbornly stuck on the idea of bringing her home...all the way back to new england. i focused on personality traits i have and my determination. animals are pretty much what im most passionate about so i also thought it was a good showcase of this quality that colleges wont see on my resume.</p>

<p>you know the drill: don’t just write about what you did, but how that tells more about you. There are some very good sites here that provide helpful suggestions about how to approach your writing. </p>
