mine were both pretty long too (905 and 1100 words) i made them times size ten and made the margins smaller so each fit on one page. If u can't cut anything out of them, at least make sure the essays don't lost the readers attention b/c they def won't finish reading them then...ask someone else to read them before u send them

I don't know about all the long essays people are planning. I have heard they really don't like them to be that long. Part of what they are looking for is your ability to organize. And small fonts and tiny margins are hard to read. I wouldn't go under an inch for the margins, at any rate.

Honestly, I think you should do some editing.

guys- I know you think EVERYTHING you have in your paper is info you NEED- that's the point of editing. There's something you can drop/reword/rework and make it tighter and better.

if u turn in a paper app, so they scan it in to the computer b4 they read it?

if they ask for 1 page, they mean 1 page.

12 font, times new roman, period.

this advice should be unspoken logic by now.

to answer the original question: as someone already said elsewhere, they'll read long essays, while cursing your name and finding new synonyms for "denied"

No, if your essays are creative and TELL SOMETHING CRITICAL ABOUT YOU then go to the second page. If not, I like how 26e describes their reaction

seriously, there's a 95% chance that your essay is not good enough for them to read past the first page. Unless you think your essay is the **** and so amazing, don't go over a page... they probably will stop after 3/4 of the way through

if you're doing the autobio one i think it is a huge mistake to go over 1 pg for sure...

^^^^^ LOL, stambilark is right...after all, they just ask for one page of the autobiography.
