I AM expecting a rejection, but I sort of do have some hope...maybe?!

I am not asking for a chances thread per se, as obviously the darn decision is 2 days away, and I’ve waited FOIREVER for this (i can wait 2 … kind of 1 … more day! lol)

BUT…I was reaidng posts back, thought it would be silly to post this, but now I am epileptically curious (not that that made sense :P).

Here’s teh deal, I think that my xtracurriculars are great, at least i HOPE they are, but my act is a 25, which is what i showed (submitted) to brown. I’m wondering if this is enough to get admitted even with standout Xtracurriculars and hopefully a kick-A essay. lol. thankee.

and NO i’m not obsessing…ok, maybe just a little ehe.

Well, good luck. We'll all know in two days...so just hang in there!

25 or 35? 10 char

i'm not that stupid to say "idk if a 35 is good" lol

lol ok just making sure haha that'd be pretty insulting to all the other anxious applicants out there lol

How were your grades?

3.8 UW / near a 4.1 W

top 10.6% 11th grade

allllllllllll a's (1 b+ in juniro year a little screwup w/2b+'s freshmen)..then this year i have 3A's and 4 B's...senior year is hard :-((((( lol

well...that's all before the um horrid grade i've gotten in ap gov...i currently have a C- without slacking. that is a completely worked-for grade (i just don't GET the class)

Sidenote, but your difficulties in AP Gov COMPLETELY support the point that GPA's are very incomparable to one another at different schools, unless there are BIG differences (like A's and B's versus C's and D's haha)

My AP Gov class is currently an utter joke. It's ridiculous. A whole crapload of busy work that doesn't really teach us much, at all.

i agree with hollywoodiva. how easy it is to get the grade varies across schools. everyone at diff schools talks about how easy it is to get an A in calc II but in our school calc II isn't calc bc, it's multivariable calc at a really fast pace, not really meant for high-schoolers. kind of hard to even pull a B. and senioritis is NOT helping!!!

Hey, pal... I'm really really worried about the decision, too. Brown is my first choice.
But
JUST HAVE A LITTLE FAITH!!!

haha i think that's what we all need to do right now. have some faith in yourself; admissions is a crap shoot after all. if they can't appreciate you for who you are, then you don't wanna be there in the first place! you will end up somewhere great no matter what and HOPEFULLY for all of us, it's brown :)

so keep them fingers crossed for just ONE MORE DAY!!!

lots of love.
