I am hoping someone can help

I have decided to go to a state school for two years to save some money because after I was accepted to a few UCs like UCSB, i realized how expensive it really was. So i thought it would be best to go to a state for two years and save then transfer to a UC, and from there I would go on to graduate school. Now my problem is I am really stuck between San Diego State University and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. So i was wondering if you guys could tell me more about Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (social life, dorms, entertainment, academics, etc). Thanks so much :-)

what major? SDSU has a better business school.

although sdsu might have a better business school, calpoly would definitely be a better choice.. I picked poly over cal and ucla purely because of how nice the town is and how great of a social life I was going to get.. I'm almost done with my first year and it was the best decision I've ever made.

It's hard to transfer from a csu to a uc, since the units and credits are different. I say just go to cal poly and stay there XD

Also... Cal Poly is probably the worst school to use to transfer.

For example I am in College of engineering. We are REQUIRED to take at least 6 units of our major/support, and no more than 4 units outside our major. So some units you will need to take to transfer to a UC are not even considered a GE towards major unit class here. Meaning, your gonna delay yourself alot by going here.

Best advice: go to a community college.
