^That’s a great achievement Gary!

UPenn dishes out financial aid rarely and mostly its partial. Depends on what school of Penn you are looking at too.

@AviatorPenguin: Yes, i have everything to prove my mentioned EC’s. The ‘under process’ undertakings of the two projects mentioned towards the end will be over before mind of next month.

“Have camped under the supervision of Rathore Singh ( India’s Olympic swimmer ) for an entire summer.”
it was a national level swimming camp with rigorous 4 hours physical training which included 3 hours of swimming every day for 50 days.
I have also attended national camps in badminton.

Horse Ridding- i have duly participated in races

Golf- Have played at zonal level and inter-club as well. Have not won anything thou :P

I wrote all this in a jiffy, my mistake i admit. It might sound more significant if i pen down details properly.

I am adding a couple of things to my resume.

Beginning with training work at JUSCO, town administration department of TATA’s. This is something like another 1 month program which will keep me busy for some part of the day in addition to school hours.

About the NASA scholarship. It was conducted by this school [Welcome to Times Business School](http://www.times.ac.in)
which took a common test and selected an initial 47 post which 15 were selected for this camp/trip. It just aimed at picking people with critical views regarding international affairs. I can demand a letter from the organizers explaining it to the colleges if it does not sound all that clear.

About upenn, well its close to useless scholarship for international applicants.

LAC is exactly what i am thinking about! Added, my college list will possess specific concentration/ratio of both Univ. and LAC.

Overall: thanks a lot for speculating things and pointing out the flaws. I will surely need more of your views.

BTW, whats your status currently?

harvard17: ^That’s a great achievement Gary!

Thats sarcastic, right?
( okay, fine i might sound dumb with that question )

@TippuSultan - thanks buddy! :)

Oh no, that was not sarcastic. I truly meant it.

Gary, as of now, is the only Indian who was accepted to Penn with financial assistance. This is, to be honest, a fantastic feat!

You still haven’t mentioned where you are going. NASA has different centers. Also your participation doesn’t really add to your resume. Keep it out unless you have actually won something.

Just my $0.02

Obviously i have WON IT!!
I am yet to receive trip details. I know, there are different centers of NASA in the US! Mostly its in Orlando for us. Its not participation only, its a scholarship!

Oh , that’s brilliant Garry!!! Congrats, it very late, i know! :P

Garry how much of financial aid are you receiving at uPenn?

dude, seriously, scholarship for WHAT? Visiting Kennedy Space Center? Thats not a scholarship. Thats a funded tour. Unless you are doing something there stop using the word scholarship.

What exactly did you do to win it?

I found something regarding your NASA trip. [Talented 26 set for Nasa | Jamshedpur, Tatanagar, Jharkhand News, Blogs, Jobs, Events, Classifieds, Travel, Education and Business Directory](<a href=“MyJamshedpur.com is for sale | HugeDomains”>MyJamshedpur.com is for sale | HugeDomains)

Well I guess you can use the word scholarship since the initial institution has used it. But you say its 15 people and the site says 26?

And about adding things regarding participation I was speaking about Golf and Horse Riding. Did you show or race for horse riding?

Pardon my cynical nature.

Lol, there must be more guys receiving aid, its just that I haven’t met any of them yet And I haven’t even asked EVERY Indian I know if they’re on aid <_< Its the kind of thing that naturally comes into conversation when you’re talking about jobs or something.

@nama- MY FA package is ~51K/year.

I bet there are more. Most of the students who apply don’t show up at CC :)

HEY thats similar to my FA package!

Wow.

Where are you off to, Aviator?

I am already a Junior in college ;)

Congrats Penguin
And no other Penn students I know are on CC.

Aviatorpenguin:
1.Good, you get clear on that word ‘Scholarship’

its 15. I am into it and i know it better than internet blogs.

3.Obviously i participated in horse ridding. I did not win anything. Just added it to show the variety. Nothing else, honestly.

@Garry- Wow, that sounds AWESOME man!! really

@garr & Penguin- i look for similar scholarship/F-aid! So just help me with advising/suggesting supervised with your personal experiences !

I meant as in showing for horse riding. Its a kind of an event. Professional much? :p

Just for the record, still don’t agree with the word scholarship.

Well you should aim for LACs! Thats your best bet.

AviatoPenguin: Dude, what else do i call it? lol
Yes it is, but don’t you think ‘showing’ is just too professional stuff
and yes, LACs are under due consideration!btw which college are you in?
