I am not going to pass a non-transferrable course. How will this affect me?

Hello, I am currently a freshman in community college, and this semester I took math 253, which is a non-transferrable course. I had to take it in order to move up to college level math. Well, I screwed up, because I placed all my focus on my other classes and now there is no way I am going to pass. I have straight A’s besides this class, in which I am going to get a D or F. I really want to transfer to UCI, how will this grade affect me? Thanks!

Did you TAG to UCI?

I will be applying to TAG next year

I am going to take it again next year, learning from my mistakes this year.

I don’t think it will affect you.

Great! Thank you so much!!

It will not affect you at all. Non-transferable courses are not used in your GPA calculation for the UC admissions process. You’re in luck.
