This year I have received a 4 on my AP Calculus BC score and a 5 on my AB sub score. I am a freshman and I have not had any professional training on the subjects. How will this affect my college application and chance of getting into schools such as MIT, Princeton, Cambridge, etc?

AP scores don’t even matter much. It’s more about GPA, Test scores, class standing, extracurriculars, leadership, and the personal statements.

Very good, although 5’s are better. Is it possible to take it again in later high school years? I know that’s what I’d do if got a 4 on Calc BC. Not that that’s the best thing to do. Hey ppl, the Soph or youger in calc club is very unrepresentative of math overachievers on this site! Sam wants YOU to join!

This little shortcoming won’t affect your admission chances much. Good job taking calculus as a freshman.

Thank you for the response, I understand. Ill take it again depending on whether im taking MV Calculus next year, but yeah if not Ill probably retake it.

Ah ok, Im pretty good GPA Wise 3.9/4 and I got a 770 on the SAT 2 Biology so I guess ill be fine.

You’ll be fine academically. Pick one extracurricular area and strangle the life out of it.
