I can't a decide what to. I'm currently a sophomore in college as a Graphic Design major.

My dream job would be to become an animator or professional artist, but I also would like a job that I enjoy and be able to live a comfortable lifestyle financially. I am not sure if I want to continue taking art classes when I could teach myself and build my own portfolio on my own, being able to have the choice to keep it personal or as a career. You don't necessarily need an art degree to work in the art world.

I've looked into French and Computer Science. I would major in computer science, but anything dealing with math past Calculus I truly frightens me, so I would settle to minor in it. A french major would also be a perfect alternative, but I hear foreign language majors aren't too effective and it's only wise to minor in it.

I've also considered Art or French education, but personally I feel like going through education classes would be a waste of money and I could just get teaching certification after college anyway.

However, the university I attend has a French major with a business concentration in it. I've considered this major because I can study the language I love, take some business courses, and I would probably minor in computer science, while still keeping art as a personal endeavor.
That way with this major, I can choose to go into either business or art school later on, depending if I really want art as my career or if I want to take a more practical approach somewhere else...

I'm not sure if this is a good decision, though. I'm still very conflicted on what to do! Basically I love art, french, and have a minor interest in computer science. I want a job I like but I don't want to be poor when I graduate.

What are some smart options I could do?
