I AM SOOOOOOOOOO DEAD> please helpppp

hey guys. OMG OMG OMG… im sooooooo freakin screwed. i JUST found out today that i did not put enough postage on the envelopes i gave to teachers… i no im soooo stupid. BUT then the teachers did NOT get them back or nething… and its been 3 months… and the wierd thing is… i applied to usc. and i asked them and they RECEIVED IT!!! but then im not sure about other schools. e.g. u penn and i asked them but they wont tell me cuz its too busy or whatever… AHHHHHHHHh. wat should i do now??? i also applied to like 8 other schools. so NO SCHOOL CAN TELL ME NETHING ABOUT WHETHER THEY RECEIVED IT OR NOT??? wat shoudl i do now? i no that they gonna notify me if semoting is missing. but then im just scared that its too late…

Well, if they tell you that it was missing, let them know the situation. Apologize. Say it was an honest mistake and that you will get it to them as soon as possible.

First of all, R.L. and transcript can be late. Dont worry. The main thing is you turned your application on time.

dont worry! I thought i did the same thing and was freaking out just like you are, but they received it fine! I only put one stamp on it and it was pretty heavy because i printed out the forms separately and stapled them together :P . If you put a return address on it then they'll just send it back. UPenn is usually pretty nice about calling your guidance counselor and saying theyre missing something. They give you the chance to send it again.

wat about other schools tho??? do all of them have the same policy??? but im just scared that when they call back andi try to send it again. they already reviewed my file or whatever. and i lose my chance?! ahhhhhhhh.

I don't think that would significantly decrease your chances. I found out that my transcript wasn't sent during Thanksgiving time (I applied ED btw), and I told my principal about it, and he sent it in like Nov. 28th, the day they started reviewing ED apps by committee. And guess what, to my surprise, I got in ED, so if I were you, I would just wait it out, let them notify you. If the recommendations were, in fact, missing, just tell your teachers to make a note of it when they send in their new ones. Hopefully, that helps.
