My application was turned into West Point before Christmas, and yet I still have received absolutely zero feedback from West Point. I have already been forced to pay fees for my backup college and can't say that I'm not extremely frustrated with West Point right now. This is also affecting my future roommate/best friend who I would be rooming with at my backup college because I would be forced to abandon him last minute if I do get accepted and then he would be forced to room with a random instead of another close friend of ours. I understand that, yes they have several thousand of applications to go through, but this is honestly absurd. Is anybody else having similar issues? And is there anyway I can actually get some feedback from West Point?

Who have you spoken to at the USMA and when was the last time? What did your MALO say when you asked him/her?

Two weeks ago I was told that I would hear back within two weeks. I have heard nothing so far. Before that I asked about it on March 6 and was told that admissions was still reviewing my application.

What does your portal say? Do you have a nomination?

My portal has no updates, it has not changed since I got confirmation that my application was complete and then later when I received a medical waiver. I have a nomination from both a congressman and a senator

OK. I would venture to guess that you haven’t heard anything yet because you are “high” on the NWL and there is a possibility that you will receive an appointment after USMA gets a final count. There are appointees that have accepted their offers that will change their minds and others that might suffer an injury or have some other last minute disqualifying problem. If you are tired of waiting (and I couldn’t blame you) call your MALO again, or call your admissions rep at USMA. Keep in mind that it is not uncommon for applicants to receive appointment up to and including the first part of June. Not common…but it happens.

Either way…at least it sounds as though you have a good Plan B in place so you have the luxury of waiting on news from WP.

Good Luck!

did your medical waiver get approved? it could be that your medical waiver is slowing the process down. I researched about this, people with waivers usually takes a back of the line or forgotten, you will be behind competitive applicants who have no medical issues. the military can afford to be very choosy when they are drawing down thier forces. what was your medical waiver about?

Grantstudent you realize that the OP was an applicant for the class of 2018 that reported back in June…right?
