Hello!

I have taken the ACT twice thus far. My science scores were...

Science: 24 (October)

Science: 23 (Science)

Raising the score to at least to a 28 would be a great help.

I know that I can't really do much to change dramatically but little tips could definitely assist me in my endeavor.

Thank you.

The science section is filled with jargon to confuse you. The main thing to do is to focus and interpret the graphs as much as you can. I hope this helped

Timing is key on the science.
Spend only 5 minutes per passage.

Try to go in this order

Data Analysis Questions 5 questions

Research summaries 6 questions

Viewpoints 7 questions

As @pandalove said, most of the answers are in the graphs/tables.

I use the written content to label the graphs and tables. I really mark them up. I take 2 minutes to do this. I used to read the whole passage, but it confused me more, so now i just use the information to mark up the graphs and tables.

Good luck on Saturday. I am hoping for a 28 or 29, too!

Read the questions first. Many of the questions can be answered by just looking at the graphs and by not reading the passage.

Good luck Georgecarlin!
