Hi, i am currently a senior in high school and just yesterday got into SUNY Purchase as a fine art major. Here is what my application looked like, or at least, what i put down:

GPA: 2.8, 3.0 (I also attend the best public school in the state which most colleges around the northeast are familiar with. Not to brag, it just could have possibly had an effect on the decision)

Classes in highschool: Honors: none
AP: none
Independent Study: 2
I also took an extra consortium class that my school offered.

Extra Curriculars: Theater (stage crew): 3 years
Lit mag: 3 years
GSA: 2 years

Awards: freshman year: 1 art award
sophmore: 1 biology award
Junior: Drama varsity letter, 2 art awards (also was chosen to do a one day workshop at a prestigious art academy)

Other random stuff: Worked at an art summer class where i taught many art classes to youngsters, also a counselor. Got accepted into Boston University's summer art intensive where i got 3 college credits (i sent in my transcript from BU which i am pretty sure helps, seeing as i got very good grades). Went to New Orleans for a week to do community service, participated in Relay for Life, and took a class at the art institute of boston.

I also attended National portfolio day and the interview did not go so well. It wasn't bad, but the woman there did not really seem too into my art and gave me a "meh" review.

I am also from out of state, which made me more surprised when i got accepted.

Please just email me if you have any questions!
