I applied late. What are my chances of getting in?

I contacted admissions via email and calling them. Because my Common App wasn’t working it didn’t let me submit my things on time. They told my that I would still be considered for admissions for Storres, but I would be on a “space available” thing? When I talked to a guy from under graduate admissions he said they would still count it. Then I sent an email explaining my dilemma and I told them that I was extremely interested. Based on my stats would I get into the Storres campus despite missing the deadline?

What are your stats???

1060 SAT (I’m not a good test taker) 3.6/3.7 GPA. No AP’s but 2 Honors for sophomore year. 5 clubs, marching band and lacrosse. And I’ve done community service/volunteer work over 20 times. I’m also the treasurer at my church. Oh and I’m a black female.

Im assuming you’re referring to the Storrs campus at University of Connecticut? Their average new SAT score is 1310, so you’re well below the average (your score doesn’t even reach 25th percentile, which is 1210). Their average GPA is 3.67, and yours is around that mark, so that would make you average in the eyes of the admissions officers. Your ECs, however, are pretty good, and should definitely make you stand out. Their acceptance rate is around 54%, so hopefully both your ECs and application essays impressed them.

high match to low reach imho
