I applied to the wrong "school of"!

Today I received my acceptance letter from UCF to the college of Health and Public Administration and I looked at the website and noticed that there is a separate college for nursing, which is what I would like to major in. When applying I wanted to do undecided because I'm still not very sure if I want to major in nursing, and one of the options was something along the lines of "Undecided - college of health and Public administration" so I figured that's what I was looking for. I don't recall seeing a general undecided or undecided for the college of nursing. I don't know what to do now but I made quite a silly mistake. The application deadline is May 1. Would I need to submit a new application to the college of Nursing? If so, could I use the same two essays that I used in my application to the COHPA?

I don't know how I'm going to explain this to my mom :))

If worst comes to worst, could I attend the COHPA and transfer to Nursing later in my college career? I really would like to go to UCF but I could always go to my backup school if I can't get this issue worked out.

Call your college’s admission’s office ASAP. Explain your situation and ask these very questions and concerns!

Do ask, but also don’t worry. Kids do change their minds about their majors all the time.

^^^ yes but OP isnt changing their major, this is a change in college. Depending on the school this could be a big deal. Acceptance rates can vary greatly between colleges.

Agree you should contact them right away. You may not need to submit a separate app but do ask to be admitted to the college you want.

Do you have an alternative college ? If so, they may not hold your spot past 5/1 so try to get this resolved by then.

I just called up the Office of Admissions and it seems simple enough. I just need to go to orientation and there will be a form I can fill out to change to nursing and the lady said my admissions status will not change (I won’t be rejected) I just need to see if there are any additional requirements to be met on the college’s website.
