i-banking? what?!

okay, so as i explore careers in finance, i was reading threads here and looking around, and i noticed that most of the time i have no idea what you guys are talking about.

for example.. bulge bracket firms? sales & trading? corporate finance? m&a?

ANYWAYS, can anybody recommend any good books on learning about investment banking or other careers in finance?? such as all of the positions available, what you do, etc. thanks! i heard about 'monkey business', but i don't know what that's about.

Liars Poker
-this book is about being a trader

Monkey Business
-this book is about working as an investment banking associate, doing corporate finance

Running Of The Bulls by Ridgway
-this is a really really worthwhile read. Not only does it give you the low down on investment banking but it introduces you to OTHER sought out jobs, consulting, hedge funds, marketing/fortune500 jobs

Vault career guides are also very helpful. Many colleges often give their students free access to these guides.
